The Infirmary is, perhaps surprisingly, not inside the Dark Palace but just outside it so others can get to the Healer faster. There are many cabinets and places to store medicines and medical instruments. There are also many stretchers and beds for the injured and/or ill.
The empress and Hanashi both walked into the infirmary. Hanashi looked around in amazement.
ReplyDeleteSelena leaned against a wall. "So this is the infirmary. The cabinets are mostly for medicines and medical instruments. Your room is over there," she said, pointing to a large, decorated door at the corner. "It's actually pretty big."
ReplyDeleteHanashi nodded, still looking around. She stepped forward and observed the various medicines and herbs.
ReplyDeleteSelena watched her investigate silently.
ReplyDeleteFinally, she stepped back and looked up at the empress. (Her face was like ^^)
ReplyDeleteSelena stared. "How do you like it?"
ReplyDeleteHanashi looked up. "Very nice," she said. "While I was traveling with Reo we only had the occasional herbs."
ReplyDeleteSelena raised an eyebrow. "You had herbs in the middle of the ocean?"
ReplyDeleteHanashi looked at her. "Erm, we used seaweed to wrap up wounds...."
ReplyDeleteSelena rolled her eyes. "How is that an herb?"
ReplyDeleteHanashi turned slightly red but didn't say anything.
ReplyDeleteSelena shrugged. "Whatever," she muttered. She began to walk out. "Enjoy, Hanashi."
ReplyDeleteHanashi bowed once again as the empress left and when she left, turned back to the supplies in the room.
